American Blackout is a four-piece Alternative/Punk Rock band formed in Fort Collins, CO in 2012. The band currently consists of vocalist/guitarist Craig Miller, guitarist Damian Schoenecke, bassist Ross Dougherty, and drummer Gus Mircos. American Blackout has several studio releases including American Blackout EP and Summer’s Gone EP, and has shared the stage with numerous national acts including Authority Zero, Face to Face, Unwritten Law, Masked Intruder, The Queers, Agent Orange, A Wilhelm Scream, Red Fang, and Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine.
Their latest studio release, Yeah So What EP, was released in December 2016. The album's debut coincided with a headlining performance at Downtown Artery, along with a full feature on the cover of Bandwagon Magazine that same month. Yeah So What EP was later chosen as the Album of the Month in Scene Magazine's January 2017 issue. Through relentless promotion and advertizing, American Blackout has been called one of the hardest working bands in Colorado. This reputation has allowed them to secure numerous headlining performances at established Colorado venues such as Hodi's Half Note & Surfside 7 (Fort Collins), Moxi Theater (Greeley), and the Marquis Theater (Denver), as well as frequent interviews and plays on several Colorado radio stations including 88.9 KRFC, 93.3 KTCL, 94.3 KILO, and 94.3 KMAX. Their single Hand to Heart was selected as a finalist for KTCL's Big Gig in 2015.
