Erik Lunde & The Music Boys

Friday 8:30PM @ Equinox Brewing - Outdoor Patio

Folk Rock Americana

A Folk-Rock poet and Americana songsmith with a captivating voice, cinematic songs, and a dynamic stage presence, Colorado-based singer-songwriter Erik Lunde "pens lyrics that are haunting and memorable poetry married with one of the widest arrays of melodies this area knows."

A songwriter and musician whose songs and sound bear the geography and cultural history of his Midwestern origins combined with the road-worn vagabond poetry of his 25 years of roaming, Lunde is influenced by a wide variety of genres including the folk music, gospel hymns, bluegrass, traditional country and rock & roll he grew up with - with a particular emphasis on the work of Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris, Leonard Cohen, The Beatles, The Stones, and David Bowie.

The founder and frontman of the Lunde Station band, a well-known staple on the Northern Colorado music scene from 2012 -2017, Lunde has re-emerged as a solo singer-songwriter, performing under his own name (with a four or five piece rock combo) and has created a body of work that reflects his own genre-bending mashup of sound that reflects his disparate influences. His album of original Folk-Rock & Americana songs entitled Water From The Stone releases on January 28th, 2022.

Lunde will be playing this FoCoMx with his stellar 5 piece rock band, "The Music Boys" featuring Jeff Finlin on drums, Eric Straumanis on Lead Guitars, Joe Schicke on Bass and Ryan Lennartson on backing vocals and percussion.
