Theatrical / Genuine / Alternative
Our play begins in the back of a crowded coffee shop, with an ad titled “Seeking lyricist/singer for a Greeley-based Alternative Rock band” and a new kid on the block looking to play the Northern Colorado stages - he just didn’t know how until now.
Micah Wilborn responded to Troy Mott’s ad with a mediocre cover of The Killers’ “Mr. Brightside,” and the rest is history. With Troy on songwriting and guitar, and Micah on lyrics and vocals (and sometimes the megaphone, if you’re lucky), the two have produced two singles and been seen on the Moxi Theater stage during the Block Party and the Battle of the Bands since their conception in December of 2018.
Their sound is unique, and the live performance they strive for is theatrical in nature, and dramatic at heart. Honest storytelling doesn’t come from thin air, and without these two characters putting their stories on the line for their music, this play might’ve never been written.
Stay tuned for the pulling aside of new curtains, the warming up of new spotlights, and a future of storytelling that reflects a reinvention of theatricality in today’s industry.
