Folky, Bluesy, Pretty
This hard to catagorize Colorado band blends classic folk sounds, from blues to bluegrass, with modern twists. They top it off with clever, catchy, finely crafted songwriting from a female perspective. The harmonies are front and center with each singers' turn at lead made stronger by the other's harmonies. Kelly Keeler and Emily Bassarear create a sound that is both delicate and fierce and reminiscent of other successful duet acts, including First Aid Kit or Cat Power and Lana Del Ray. Ken Monks and Rooster round out the 4 piece with buttery bass, explosive harmonica and guitar for days. Expect a journey that crosses genre and keeps you on your toes.
