The Syrup

Saturday 5:00PM @ The Lyric - The Lawn Stage

Positive Soulful Vibrations

The Syrup was formed by Brandon Wright, known as Jr. Goat in the music scene, in the Spring of 2020. He has been writing and performing music steadily in the Fort Collins Music scene in several bands over the last decade, along with bass player Damien Pipes.  Driven by a passion to play music, you can likely find him busking on the corner of College and Oak in front of the Peacock's Pearch on any given sunny day. Growing up in Georgia, Jr. Goat brings that southern influence along with hearty helpings of positivity and soul to all of his music.  Jr. Goat is influenced by many different styles of artisis including Citizen Cope, Andre 3000, and The Wailers.

Along with a strong rhythm section of Drums, percussion, and bass, John Jackson brings warm melody lines on the trumpet to round out The Syrup's unique sound.  While playing steadily together for the past year and a half at venues from Denver to Fort Collins, The Syrup is a 6 piece band that blends Soul, Rhythm and Blues, Roots Reggae, and Hip Hop, to bring a sound that has those stick to your soul groovin' vibes, as addicting as pure sugar cane.

The Syrup is currently working on their first EP to be released by Spring of 2022.
